The company’s name, SETpro, is a personal tribute to Sydney's three children—Sadie, Elliot, and Tommy—and is lovingly referred to by Sydney as her “fourth child.” Driven by a passion for excellence and innovation, SETpro is committed to providing industry-leading solutions that simplify compliance and elevate the reporting experience for our clients.

Sydney Richardson brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance and pension industry. She began her career as a junior auditor at PwC in Toronto before relocating to Bermuda, where she gained extensive expertise in insurance and reinsurance. Upon returning to Toronto, Sydney joined PwC Pro in 2011, where she has since specialized in Canadian regulatory reporting requirements, helping clients navigate the complexities of compliance.
Sydney holds a BSc from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Management in Professional Accounting from the Rotman School of Business, and is a CPA. Her deep industry knowledge, coupled with her commitment to innovation and precision, has made her a trusted leader in the field.
Kevin serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at SETpro, where he is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s technology strategy. With more than 28 years of cross-industry experience spanning telecommunications, Fintech, and Insurtech, Kevin has led teams in both startups and large enterprises.
His expertise is a unique blend of executive leadership and hands-on experience in software development, information technology, and information security, enabling him to drive innovation and ensure the security and scalability of SETpro’s solutions.
Ethel is our customer-focused specialist with a knack for managing projects and herding cats (both literally and figuratively). With 5 years on the Pro Services team at the inception of SETpro, she is your go-to person for all things related to the SETpro client experience. Ethel graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA in English & Psychology, and holds post-graduate qualifications in Design and Film Production. Before joining PwC in 2011 as Sydney's admin assistant, she honed her skills in the vibrant world of arts and entertainment.
In her spare time, Ethel moonlights as an occasional actor and is a doting mom to two dogs, two cats, and more houseplants than she can count.
Vadim holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics and began his career as a hardware engineer maintaining IBM mainframe computers. He later organized and contributed to several software development startups, focusing on creating applications for accounting firms. Vadim joined PwC in 2003 as a programmer Pro Services, where he has played a key role in the design, development and support of Pro tools ever since.
At SETpro, Vadim will leverage his extensive experience and drive innovation, helping to improve existing solutions and create new, cutting-edge ideas for the company’s service offerings.
